S54 Bus Schedule, - E46 Fanatics Forum Hi everyone, I’m currently planning a full engine rebuild on my S54B32 after a head gasket failure, and I’m looking for a comprehensive workshop manual or technical guide specific to the S54 engine. - The s54 cluser temp gauge runs a little over half way. Obviously my car does not over heat, only explanation I have for this is the s54 wants to run a little cooler than the m54 so the operating range on the clusters is slightly different (by probably a few degrees). This will fix itself as soon as the s54 goes in. All of those considerations point to B30 swap over S54 swap.
