The reason why I'm asking this is because after installing the driver I rebooted once more and installed the chipset driver to try and fix a power management issue (spoiler alert it was not fixed, the workaround is to go to regedit and disable intel power management altogether). Spoiler alert: I'm doing this to get eMule to work, so if you're philosophically opposed to such things ... look away.
