I just can't watch the same films over-and-over in such close proximity, and I outgrew the Toho stuff long ago. That is why House of Svengoolie is picking those films from those eras. They are trying to expand the horror fan audience to viewers who are a tad younger than the bulk of Sven's fans.
Svengoolie Schedule Tonight, You might try to be creative and thoughtful about your analysis next time. This may sound strange but I watch Svengoolie just for the ritual aspect of seeing a horror film on a Saturday evening. It's like Monster Kid comfort food. Young Frankenstein really seems like a movie Svengoolie would show with its tie in to the Frankenstein movies (Frankenstein, Bride, etc.) I highly doubt HoS is showing but I could be wrong. Idk about Return of the Fly, maybe?

On Svengoolie's Facebook page last week, someone asked why Abbott And Costello Meet Frankenstein isn't on in October. He replied that it would be on in November.
