I tried to explain to them ucsd is literally the same course as ucb, with the same concepts, same amount of instruction hours and same 3 semester credit equivalent. The only difference is that ucsd runs on a quarter system and ucb runs on a semester system. They wouldn’t budge though Hello, would you mind sharing about which school did you ask?
UCSD or USC? Which school would you pick if you get accepted to both schools? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks!
Ucsd Grades, I'm pre-med, a transfer student (junior), and deciding between UCSD and USC. I'm really stuck here. It looks as though UCSD has a lot more to offer in the bio sciences and is a lot more advanced, yet I'm told to really consider USC. I've been to both campuses and loved both, so it just comes... Duke and UCSD are not that much different in ranking, and UCSD is a great school.
Ucsd Grades, If you do well, your opportunities will be amazing too. Prestige is only what you make of it. If you want the Duke name, you should choose Duke, but be sure it is for more than just name, dissatisfaction at a school could affect your performance. I will be withdrawing from UCSD and that will open up a spot. From my experience getting off the waitlist at another school, conveying your enthusiasm (to the point of assuring you will accept if offered) is helpful. Also, keep in mind, it's what you can offer their program, i.e.
how you see yourself serving as a leader in the class, in the changes in the curriculum and in the overall ... UCSD has the patient population and support system, Penn has my ideal interests to explore, WashU has almost everything Penn has with less interdisciplinary strength (imo).
